To put it simply: we’re here to craft delicious, functional beverages. All of the products at Superior Soda have a handful of ingredients and are meant to refresh, replenish and revitalize.

Our STORY

What started out as a way to replenish and rehydrate after a night of hockey, Melina Lamer, founder, turned her passion into a business and began selling her switchel. As the brand grew and demand for functional beverages took off, she sought out options to bring the production back to Minnesota. And that’s when she started having some conversations with the team at Sociable Cider Werks. 

In 2020, Superior Switchel officially joined the Sociable family and rebranded to Superior Craft Elixirs. This partnership became a natural stepping stone for both parties, a) to bring production back to Minnesota and b) to leverage Sociable’s expertise in fresh pressed fruits.

In 2025 we as a team decided to take parts of our switchel formula and turn it into a “better for you soda.” This new formulation of Superior Soda is meant to be enjoyed by all as a crushable yet flavorful modern soda- made with just 4 simple ingredients!
